American Bat Removal, which was founded in 2004 by bat enthusiast and removal specialist David Diaz, is a Florida based family owned conservation company dealing strictly with the humane removal of bats from residential homes, commercial buildings and other man-made structures around the state of Florida.
Most residents are unaware of the fact that bats exist in their communities. In Florida 13 different native species of bats and 7 "accidental" species account for about more than a quarter of the entire mammal population. Of the 13 different species of bats 5 species inhabit homes, buildings, and other man-made structures. All bats are protected under federal law and severe penalties and fines could be imposed for intentionally killing or injuring them. Bats become a problem when a large colony takes residence in your home or building. An average colony of Mexican (Brazilian) free-tailed bats, one of the more common species in Florida, can number in the hundreds. Many bats have been killed or injured by unqualified individuals who attempt exclusion methods that do not work. Bats are extremely territorial and unless an exclusion is preformed correctly, the problem will persist. Bat exclusions should only be handled by licensed, qualified professionals.
As a member of the Florida Pest Management Association, National Pest Management Association, and Bat Conservation International, I have performed extensive exclusions around the state of Florida with a high rate of success. My years of experience as project manager, my knowledge and study of bat behavior, and our dedication to high quality service is what distinguishes our company from the others. we are licensed and insured in the state of Florida and our work is backed by a 2 year warranty. Our goal is not only to satisfy our customers need but to protect the well-being of the bats as well.
